Fortanerius Vassalli (died October 1361) was an Italian〔Said though to be from Aquitaine, and named Fortanier Vassal.(PDF ) p.131.〕 Franciscan, who became Minister General of the Order of Friars Minor, and a cardinal〔(The Cardinals of the Holy Roman Church - Consistories of the 14th Century )〕 a few weeks before he died. He died on the way to Avignon. He held a wide variety of ecclesiastical posts.〔While he is said to have been bishop of Marseilles(), this is not verified by lists of holders.〕 He was Patriarch of Grado.
